Our Story: Built from the Ground Up


Our founder, Jason Jacobs, started Real Wood Floors with a clear vision: to bring precision, integrity, and artistry to the craft of hardwood flooring. After attending the National Wood Flooring Association’s technical school in 1998, he began as a one-man operation. Over time, Real Wood Floors grew into a respected local business with a team of Bona® Certified Craftsmen, each dedicated to the same level of excellence and care.


Today, the story continues with the next generation stepping alongside to carry the legacy forward, expanding our reach into the greater Washington, D.C. market. Owen Jacobs is our next generation innovator, guiding our team and values to ever-expanding markets. While our roots remain strong in Southwest Michigan, our values, craftsmanship, and personal service are now reaching more families and more homes - grounding beauty where life happens.
